2025 SEASON REVIEW AND HIGHLIGHTS

HARROGATE EVENING LEAGUE
The A Team finished 6th out of 10 in Div1, one place below last year's position.
The B team came 3rd out of 10 in Div 2, improving on their 7th place in 2024, which was an excellent effort.
The C team came 4th from 12 in Div 3 which was a good performance after relegation the previous season.
The D team came 5th out of 10 in Div 4.
HARROGATE VETS LEAGUE
In the Vets league, we had some outstanding successes.

The A team came 3rd out of 10. In the last 4 years the team has never been out of the top 3, including 2 titles. Three players were in the top 10 averages for the Division.
The B Team were Division 2 champions. The last day of the season saw an amazing finish, with three teams all finishing on 107 points, our Low Harrogate team topping the league with a better points aggregate and matches won.
The C team came 6th out of 10 in the same Division. A fine effort by the team playing 1st and 2nd teams from other clubs.
The D team won the 4th Division by a mammoth 17 points, losing only 2 games out of 14. This was a tremendous effort by a team that is the first step into competitive bowling for many new or recent members and it bodes well for our future.
VETS CUP
The B team completed the double by also winning the Division 2 cup, though only after overcoming our own C team in the quarter final by a single point.
In Div 4 the D team were beaten by the eventual trophy winners, Starbeck B, in the semi final by 7 points.
THE TADCASTER LEAGUE
In Div 2 the A team like last season came 7th out of 10, though only 2 points away from being 5th
The B team came 7th out of 9 in Div 4.
AIRE & WHARF LEAGUE
The A team came 5th out of 11 In Div 1, with two players in the top 10 league averages for the division.
In the Vets Tuesday morning league in Div 3 our team came 4th out of 10 clubs, improving on last year's position by one place.
CLUB COMPETITIONS
The club competitions were well supported this season. The half day competitions were a success as well as our full day ones. It was very heartening to see many of the newer members joining in and they seemed to have really enjoyed the experience.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES
Three players from the club represented Harrogate and District in the Vets and National Federation Fixtures. Two of our first team reached the semi-finals of the Harrogate Vets merit competition.
